Techniques
How each one behaves.
Swing Tags
A tag attached so it hangs free of the garment. On performance product it is usually kept small and light, so it does not distort the fabric it hangs from.
Tag Seals and Attachments
The moulded seal or cord that fixes a tag to the garment. It can carry the brand mark itself, which turns a functional part into a branded one.
Folding Boxes
A carton that ships flat and is folded at packing. The print sits on the outer face and the fold pattern is set so the artwork lands square once the box is made up.
Rigid Boxes
A two-piece box that holds its form permanently. It is the presentation format for premium product, where the box is expected to be kept rather than opened and discarded.
Kraft and Uncoated Packaging
Uncoated board finished without lamination. The print sits into the surface rather than on a gloss layer, which is the look most often chosen where the packaging should read as plain.
Technical Packaging
Pouches and sleeves used where the product is technical and the packaging should say so. Usually a single colour on a synthetic face, with the mark placed for the way the pack sits on a shelf.
