Puff Print
An expanding ink that rises during curing, giving a soft raised mark with a rounded edge instead of the sharp wall of a high density build. It reads as inflated rather than stacked.
Screen Printing
A full kitchen of effect inks, matched to the garment and its wash life.
What it covers
Each technique below is a separate decision on a tech pack. They are grouped here because they share a process, not because they are interchangeable.
Techniques
An expanding ink that rises during curing, giving a soft raised mark with a rounded edge instead of the sharp wall of a high density build. It reads as inflated rather than stacked.
A print that shifts colour as the viewing angle changes. Used small, as an accent beside a primary mark, because the shift is what draws the eye and a large area of it competes with the garment.
A controlled particle load carried in a clear base. The particle size sets how the mark behaves, and keeping the load controlled is what stops a glitter print from shedding into the rest of the garment.
A tonal fade built from halftone dots rather than a blended ink. Done well the fade shows no banding and the dot structure is only visible close up, which is what proves it is printed.
A print with almost no perceptible weight on the fabric, so a large graphic does not stiffen the garment. It matters most on children's product and on lightweight jersey, where a heavy deposit is felt immediately.
