What it covers

Inside this family.

Each technique below is a separate decision on a tech pack. They are grouped here because they share a process, not because they are interchangeable.

  • Silicone and rubber badges for performance product
  • Embroidered and woven patches for fashion and heritage looks
  • Laser-marked natural materials such as cork

Techniques

How each one behaves.

Silicone Badges

A moulded silicone form applied to the garment. The mark sits proud of the badge face, so the branding is legible by touch as well as by sight, and the flexible body follows a stretch fabric.

Rubber Badges

A denser moulded badge with more defined edges than silicone. Used where the badge should read as a fixed piece of hardware without being metal.

TPU Welded Badges

A thermoplastic badge bonded to the fabric rather than stitched, so there is no sewing line and no needle penetration. It suits technical shells where a stitched edge would be a weakness.

Faux Leather Patches

A synthetic leather patch, most often at the back waistband of a denim garment. The surface can carry embossed, debossed or printed artwork, and the patch is set into the waistband construction rather than applied over it.

Belt-Loop Patches

A narrow branded tab attached at a belt loop, sized to the loop rather than to the panel behind it. It is a secondary mark that only reads when the garment is seen close, which is the point of it.

Embroidered and Woven Patches

Stitched or woven badges finished with a merrowed or laser-cut edge. The edge treatment is what fixes the shape and stops the patch fraying in wash.

Laser-Marked Natural Materials

Cork and similar natural surfaces marked by laser rather than printed. The mark is burned into the material, so it carries the grain of whatever it is applied to.
